Bethesda has a strong academic nurturing program. Students that demonstrate above grade level learning are recommended by their teachers to attend advanced academics nurturing classes so they can receive differentiated lessons on their level.
I know this is where I belong and what I am put here to do because I look forward to each day, I smile almost all of the day, students and staff seems happy to see me, and I am valued here.

Bethesda Elementary is a family. It is an amazing place to work where you feel the support from the administration and your coworkers.
We have a various generations of staff from different backgrounds and we like to come together for the students we serve, expressing our creativity and passion for teaching children.
Our diversity and family atmosphere is strong! We are a true representation of the growing Durham community and offer different experiences for children including Dual Language, a robust STEM program, student gardening and more.
