Fayetteville Street Elementary

I love the diversity that Fayetteville Street Elementary School has. Elijah loves the friends he’s made, the teachers and the staff that he interacts with on a daily basis, it is nice to see him with a smile on his face at the end of every day.

I love the kind messages I receive everyday from his teachers, letting me know how his day went. I feel like Fayetteville Street Elementary is a family and we are very happy to be a part of that.

Fayetteville Street Elementary is unique because of: 1) the caring of the children and the parents, 2) the helpfulness, the family like atmosphere, 3) the support that is shown to all the children with food, bookbags, and supplies they need for school.

The different opportunities for children to learn, swimming, chorus, music, art, soccer, tae kwan do. The staff are friendly and helpful. The staff address all of our concerns.

There are many things that make our school unique. My favorite thing about our school is the love and school spirit that you feel when you walk into our school. We have a school culture that embraces diversity. The atmosphere at Fayetteville Street is student- and family-centered. Families appreciate the way that teachers both encourage and challenge their students. They sense the balance between high standards and grace. We are intentional about building relationships which creates a safe, supportive and purposeful environment for students to grow intellectually, socially, and emotionally.

I love this school because they never leave us behind and encourage us to participate in school with my son. I like that a lot because I like to be in school and participate in everything that concerns my son.

One thing that I love about Fayetteville Street Elementary is that everyone treats you like family. They have a great support system; they have been supporting me with my children throughout the years. I can remember when they would let my baby sit with the after school kids when I was running late. Mrs. Taylor and Mrs. Tisedale have been my biggest supporters. They would take pictures in my absence, keep my kids when I was running late and discipline my children when it was needed. I truly love the bond and relationships that we have with the staff at Fayetteville St.

The small, close-knit environment makes this a uniquely wonderful environment. All staff members really support one another and there is a palpable sense of joy and perseverance throughout the building. The small class sizes make it so students can really feel valued and develop their social skills along with academic skills.

It is a family as we look out for the staff, faculty and students and even the parents. We work very closely and wear many hats because we are a small school.
