We pride ourselves in utilizing the outdoors as a teaching and learning space. We understand that giving our students the opportunity to learn in different environments will open doors for our students to be successful in so many different ways.
Merrick Moore is unique because we are a school family committed to addressing equity issues in education. Efforts are made to bridge achievement gaps and provide equal opportunities for all students, regardless of their backgrounds. Many teachers engage in professional development to continually improve their teaching methods. Wilderness Wednesday, which caters to our students’ social and emotional well-being, is unmatched. We continue to strive academically and socially within the four walls and in our outdoor spaces.
What makes Merrick Moore Elementary unique is the positive atmosphere and cohesiveness. I love that the school promotes diversity, equity and collaboration. What stands out most about this institution is that everyone is heard, supported and loved.
MME has a wonderfully diverse staff and student body. We have amazing educators who are passionate about what they do for our students and their families. There is a lot of PRIDE within our community.
I love all the outdoor educational opportunities that the school provides just about every day. Merrick Moore has an extended specials scheduled therefore allowing students to truly enjoy and learn a new concept in art, music, PE, Outdoor Education (not technology), and time in the school Library.
I love the responsiveness and care of the teachers and administrators.
The school’s principal and teachers are great! They really want the children to succeed. They are very loving and genuine. They go above and beyond their job descriptions. I love Merrick Moore and so does my grandson. We wish they went to grade 12.
